Special Holiday Greeting from Me! (and Michael Jordan)

Well, it’s that time of year again, the season of wonderment and merriment and bloggy Christmas cardiment.

Some of you know what happened last year when I brought all the insiders behind the scenes of my Christmas card photo shoot. I’m about to do it all again with a little help from my friends*.

It’s about to get real up in here like Kim Kardashian. Or something.

I hope my dog doesn’t pee on Michael Jordan because he’s been growling at him all day.

*I don’t really have any friends, just my dog**.

**My dog’s name is Romy.

What celebrity would you like to be in a Christmas card photo shoot with?

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah to everyone!

I had to re-watch last year’s video to make sure my hunch was right and it was:

This year’s Christmas sweater is way worse than last year’s. :-)

I’d like to be a Christmas photo shoot with Mandy Patinkin, Andre the Giant, Wallace Shawn and Cary Elwes.

    I know.. inconceivable.

    Merry Christmas!

Hehe, definitely worse :-) Next year will have to be really bad. And The Princess Bride shoot would rock!

You’re so lucky Michael was in your photo shoot. Seriously he’s one person I’ve always wanted to meet. He seemed nice and concentrated.
I’d like Thor in my Christmas card. In fact, I may just send out pictures of Thor for fun anyway.
    Merrrrrry Christmas Captain Morgan!

Thanks Ellster! Do you mean Chris Hemsworth Thor? Is this just about him? Be honest now.

Clayton, Michael seemed a little stiff. Maybe a little out of practice with the media lately?? The sweater combination was stellar; maybe Cosby can join you next year?

Hope you and Michael, and dog, have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year. I look forward to more seriousness from you in the future. *he said so dryly, he started spitting dust* :)

Cliff Huxtable is a sweater legend. Blogging is great for my multiple personalities, so the serious will come around again.

Good choices all around. Sweaters, music, and stand-up companion. And ** within a * deserves ***.

    *** = 3 stars****
**** which is just shy of 4 stars. :-)

I bet you knew that song right away eh? Thanks for the extra asterisks :-)

  6. Larry Hehn December 24, 2011 at 1:02 am #

I’d like to be in a Christmas card photo shoot with Howie Mandel.
Something about famous bald guys, I guess.

    • educlaytion December 24, 2011 at 11:39 am #

Just make sure you don’t touch him Larry.

I’ve never seen Michael more focused and disciplined then in that shoot. Fantastic he was able to be there for you, Clay. Bet you guys played “horse” afterwards (watch Romy’s rebound slams). Think I would want Clint Eastwood, “Go ahead punk, make my Christmas”.
    Happy holidays, Clay :)

Yeah, the should do a TV special called “A Very Special Dirty Harry Christmas.” I finally took MJ down b/c my dog kept freakin out. Funny.

You are HYSTERICAL! This is amazing.

Well, the obvious answer is that I would do a Christmas card photo shoot with Second Husband, Darren Criss, but I fear he would upstage me with his perfect hair and piercing eyes. Same thing happens when I try to take a picture with my dog, Uncle Jesse. I think I’ll go solo, thank you very much.

Merry Christmas to you, Michael and Romy!

    • educlaytion December 24, 2011 at 11:42 am #

You have a dog named Uncle Jesse? That’s fantastic. One thing about Jordan is that he can’t upstage my hair which was done with extra special care for this shoot as you can see.

      • gojulesgo December 28, 2011 at 8:26 pm #

I totally have a dog named Uncle Jesse, he totally has a monogrammed bed that says “Have Mercy,” and he totally does a trick to “watch the hair, huh!” I have proof.

If he’s not going to say anything, the least Michael Jordan could do is to leave you a pair of his sneakers everyone seems to want this Christmas.
    Happy Holidays, Clay!

  10. Mark Kaplowitz December 24, 2011 at 4:20 pm #

The only celebrity I can imagine being in a Christmas card with is you, Clay. That was awesome. He really does have the ability to focus and block everything out. No wonder he won so many championships and made so many clutch shots in the final seconds. Merry Christmas, Professor Morgan.

    • educlaytion December 26, 2011 at 1:36 am #

Thanks Mark! If I ever get to your part of the country we will definitely shoot some video fun :-)

Finally stood on top of the Ironic Mom Tour Bus and got some youtube action. Well, kind of.

Hilarious. I’ve never seen you look short. Ode to Romy. And Michael Jordan’s shooting form always made me swoon. You know, in case you wondered. And you don’t need to ask who I’d pose with.

Happy Christmas to you and the big R!

    • educlaytion December 26, 2011 at 1:37 am #

Yeah, that was funny being so short! That doesn’t happen in my average day. And I know you’d like one life-sized Firth to go eh?

  12. laurenrantnrave December 25, 2011 at 11:26 am #

You are a goof, thank you for making me laugh :) happy holidays ;-)

Every time I see an MJ cardboard cutout I think of “Home Alone.” As for me I’d go with the Two Murdocks: Dwight Schultz (classic) and Sharlto Copley (movie) for the win. Great post! Hope you had a good Christmas.

    • educlaytion December 27, 2011 at 12:45 pm #

I’m not shocked by your celebrity picks. You are as consistent there as I with Emily and Kate.

  14. Tamara January 4, 2012 at 11:26 am #

I’m so sad I just now saw this. It would’ve made my Christmas. Wow, that sweater.

I’d do a shoot with Ryan Gosling, but I’d probably keep the photos to myself. ;)

  15. dinkerson January 9, 2012 at 2:16 am #

Are we allowed to pick on the sweater, or was that not supposed to be part of the humor?

    • educlaytion January 9, 2012 at 11:03 am #

What do you mean? That’s my best outfit! Kidding. I need to find an even uglier sweater next year.
